This coat proved to be very versatile. The "bib" functions to convert the coat into a built in turtleneck, making it useful to another 10 degrees in temperature drop and/or 10mph wind increase. It also allows the same coat to be used when the weather is variable.

If it turns out to be warmer, you can take the bib off. Keeping the bib in without zipping it up still can add warmth. The fit is a little bit snug so go a size up than your usual size. I have had the coat only a month or so, so I cannot speak to its durability yet. BTW, I bought this as a gold box deal from Amazon. Amazon honored the discount price even though I technically missed the time of the offer because of a glitch that could have come from my browser. Kudos.

Nice coat. Comfortable, nice liner, removable bib extends its life across seasons. Very warm with bib. Seems to be made with quality materials.

On the right (as worn) side the middle button is sewn right through the pocket. Disappointing. I'll have to have to take it in to alteration to get it fixed. I can just barely get my hand into the pocket. Quality control should have caught that.

I bought the Large since they had no mediums in, but just checked they had a medium in for a BLACK and I bought the last one it seems. I bought the navy (still black) in large and its a nice jacket extremely comfortable and nice feel to the material NOT itchy like others.

The coat was slightly too big for me around the waist area since my was is narrow vs my shoulder ratio. So it did not give me the taper look thats suppose to happen with a peacoat. They say always go smaller on a peacoat when trying one on because these coats were not meant to wear like your a GANGSTA of some sorts on the street, but more for functional warmth and timeless style.
